The KD Analytical Approach to
Critical Infrastructure & Building Protection

We typically prepare a “menu” of options that is based upon an unbiased, vendor-neutral, engineering rigorous, methodical and proven approach that is built upon a Risk-Based Threat and Vulnerability Protection Assessment (TVPA) framework. This ensures that the most effective, reliable and balanced engineered systems, solutions and protection-in-depth type strategies are provided. Highly reliable, certified systems are tested in accordance with all national codes, standards and requirements, with government witnessed testing of the installed equipment and systems.

We feel that by working with our clients through every step of the process that we can provide the most effective, reliable and balanced AT/FP, CBRNE detection, CBR agent building protection and Biosecurity related systems available in the world today, with the highest Protection Factors (PF) achievable per dollar spent, and do so in the most cost effective and reliable manner possible.

Building Protection Design Process

  1. Risk-based Threat and Vulnerability Protection Assessment (TVPA)
  2. Evaluation of critical missions, programs, assets and personnel to be protected
  3. Assessment of the candidate area(s) for protection
  4. Evaluation of the building proper and unprotected adjacent spaces
  5. Evaluation of the existing HVAC, infrastructure support, IT and building automation systems
  6. Evaluation of existing protection strategies (physical security, electronic security, IT security, AT/FP, etc.)
  7. Review of the applicable requirements documents
  8. Modeling and simulation
  9. Aerosol dispersal testing
  10. Critical mission area/toxic-free area/facility pressurization testing
